Time of Ends

An Apocalyptic Political Polemic

Time of Ends

Bill Garrigan had had it. For too long, the retired business consultant watched the people and things he loved fade and die. First his twin brother, then his wife. Now he watched helplessly as his country was torn apart by activists on both ends of the political spectrum. He saw it as a sort of partisan bell curve, with divisive extremists on each end spewing their destructive rhetoric while the bulk of Americans huddled in the middle, just trying to live their lives.

When Bill’s young granddaughter is gunned down in yet another school shooting, he knew the time for simply watching was over. Now was the time for action. Now was time for stopping it.

As Bill launches his crusade, he is unexpectedly joined by others who have had their fill of the cruelty and hatred tearing at the very fabric of the nation. But this time, the “man in the middle” rises up, not a group of right-wing extremists. Garrigan’s mysterious militia sets a divided country on a new course. Fighting fire with firepower, they blaze a path through the country, slashing at the ends of the bell curve.

Sometimes the revolution starts where you least expect. But will their campaign of violence lead the United States to salvation or to civil war?

Many readers are struck by the bold cover images, curious as to why the Liberty Bell was hanging from a clock set to 2. The flames behind the flag seemed to echo Apocalyptic from the subtitle. The crack in the bell is larger than the actual split. Why? Maybe that’s what was implied by Political.

After the Alex Jones lawsuits or the recent Uvalde massacre, we are still looking for solutions, for unity, and common sense about weapons. The shocking opening echoes these concerns. The two protagonists, Bill Garrigan and Rick Miller react forcefully to that lack of solutions. Start reading, and Polemic became clear. The book is intense, covers a wide range of social issues, and emphasizes the failure of recent political leadership.
